Menopause training for managers.

Hold on to experienced talent, often at the top of their game with a wealth of skills. Provide inclusivity and understanding, encouraging women to stay in the workplace through their menopause.

  • 48% not spoken to anyone at work about their symptoms

  • 30% had taken sick leave with only 25% of those telling their Manager the real reason

  • 32% said an unsupportive Manager was the reason for non-disclosure

  • Almost 1 million women have left their job due to menopausal symptoms.

Everyone should feel comfortable having a conversation with a Manager about the menopause.

1 hour workshop

Manager training provides information and confidence in:

  • sensitive conversations about the menopause

  • range of symptoms experienced

  • employers policy on menopause

  • support and adjustments available within the organisation

  • changes that can be made within the workers rights

  • signposting other than their manager (HR, trade union, EAP, wellbeing champion)

  • law relating to the menopause

Manager training will also give workers the confidence to speak more openly and seek support for their menopausal concerns.

We don’t expect Managers to become menopause experts. Appreciating the conversation is confidential, they are being listened to, and providing some guidance on company policy is a great foundation to build on.

The Government Equalities Report on Menopause suggest organisations should provide training and guidelines including reasonable adjustments.

The CIPD have produced a managers guide to support team members and advice for managers on opening up a conversation.
